Any Time, Anywhere Computing is a summary of the current state of software, hardware, and infrastructure for mobile computing. Since this is a subject that I'm interested in and want to learn more about, I wanted to like this book. Unfortunately, it appears to have been put together too quickly: it's poorly edited and often not very well written. More importantly, the book is structured as a loosely organized collection of facts, making it difficult to figure out what's important and what isn't, and to otherwise draw useful conclusions. |
