Like the other Tales of the City installments, Babycakes is a fun book. Although he's not a major character, many of the book's events are motivated by Simon, a British newcomer to San Francisco. Also, Mouse goes to London, Mona gets married, and Mary Ann covers a story about a woman who finds the image of Jesus on a tortilla.
