isbn: 0061053589
John Orr wakes up on The Bridge without any memory of his previous life. The Bridge is like something out of Kafka -- a structure that appears to go on forever, containing a weird, stratified society organized around the main deck. I was a little disappointed with this book; it's one of the few by Banks where I was able to correctly predict the ending. Not only that, but instead of ending with a bang it ends with a whimper. It's entertaining and well written, but Banks has done better. |
