Against his better judgment Bernie Rhodenbarr accepts a job to steal a blue box from a New York City apartment. Although he can't find the box, the police find not only him but also a body and suddenly Bernie is on the run. This is a fluffy, humorous, and mostly non-violent detective story; it kept me turning pages, but I thought the ending was pretty farfetched. Good for a light read.
