What a great way to learn history! I read the first volume years ago when I was in high school, and only now got around to reading volume II. It spends about a third of the book each on ancient India, ancient China, and Rome. I especially appreciated the first two since it is possible to make it through school without learning a thing about them (which I unfortunately did).
