Chapterhouse: Dune continues the story of the conflict between the Bene Gesserit and the Honored Matres following the destruction of Dune. It seems unlikely that anything I write about it will persuade anyone to read or not to read it, since people who have plowed through the preceding five books will have certainly formed their own opinion by this point. Anyway, Chapterhouse: Dune is good although the plot seemed more arbitrary than in previous books.

In the "odd feedback loop" department, Herbert at one point uses an image from the Dune movie: "the automated trainer stood there ... like a golden pillar, its weapons flicking in and out."
