by Anne Fadiman
This is a short, enjoyable collection of essays about books and reading. The first one discusses how Fadiman and her husband, after five years of marriage and a child, finally took the more intimate step of merging their libraries. Other essays discuss sesquipedalians, compulsive proofreading, reading books in the places described by the books, and other topics that compulsive readers will enjoy. Recommended.
