book 3 of The Earthsea Cycle by Ursula K. Le Guin
isbn: 0553268473
Ged and a young prince go on a quest to find out why magic is failing in Earthsea. Eventually, they encounter an evil and overcome it at great personal cost. It is even darker and more subdued than The Tombs of Atuan, and is a well-written story about coming of age. Unfortunately, it is also more of the same, and I didn't enjoy it nearly as much as the other two books. |
