This is a beautiful book that purports to be a week of entries from the journal of Armon Hurt, a bookbinder who inherits a house in Spain from his artist grandfather. In the house, Armon finds a surrealist puzzle designed to awaken the artist in him. Unfortunately, the prose feels dead, and doesn't live up to the high standard set by the visual design of the book. So, I found The Forgetting Room to be enjoyable but flawed.
