Languages for Digital Embedded Systems

[cover]

by Stephen A. Edwards

isbn: 079237925X
subject: Nonfiction, Computing, Real-Time and Embedded Systems
finished: 1/27/2003

There is no single best programming language for creating embedded systems: people use mainstream languages like C, C++, and Java, niche languages like Esterel, as well as hardware description languages such as Verilog and VHDL. Edwards' book surveys the important features of each of these languages and a few others. The best thing about this book is that it brings together useful information that would be hard to acquire otherwise.
