Little, Big

[cover]

by John Crowley

isbn: 0553373978
subject: SF, Fiction and Literature
finished: 4/22/1998

Little, Big is a dense and subtle book about a family that is part of the faeries' Tale, although nobody quite knows or remembers how. I read it over a long period of time, which was probably a mistake since I feel like I missed some of the more difficult allusions and relationships. With the possible exception of Gene Wolfe, I think Crowley is the best writer working in SF, and this is an excellent book that deserves to be read by a wider audience than just SF fans.
