The Arthur story, from the female perspective. Like The Once and Future King, this book is about real people who try to be good, and have to live with the mistakes they make along the way. Mists of Avalon is very well written, and worth a try for those who are not normally interested in fantasy or Arthurian books. It is much less boring than The Once and Future King.
