I was not eager to pick this book up, since I have a difficult time thinking of subjects less interesting than personal finance. Once I started reading, however, I was pleasantly surprised -- it's well written, reasonably short, and I appreciated the no-nonsense approach to managing money. Rather than covering all topics relevant to personal finance in detail, Tobias ignores whole areas that he considers to be bad investments, and concentrates on a plan of responsible saving and prudent investing. The result is an informative and readable book.
