This is probably the most lucid nontechnical explanation of quantum mechanics that exists; it is very readable without being condescending. Feynman is a superb technical writer. The Character of Physical Law is another good one, and don't forget The Feynman Lectures while you're at it. Surely You're Joking, Mr. Feynman and What Do You Care What Other People Think contain lots of good anecdotal and autobiographical material.
