book 2 of Griffin and Sabine by Nick Bantock
isbn: 0811801802
Although I liked Griffin and Sabine quite a bit, this book was not nearly as good -- it's clearly a victim of the "middle book in a trilogy" syndrome. In other words, nothing happens. Or rather, nothing interesting happens -- Griffin travels and worries while exchanging letters with his most likely imaginary lover Sabine. Like the previous book, Sabine's Notebook is visually beautiful -- Bantock is a far better artist than writer. |
