As a mixture of narrative, descriptive, and persuasive writing about a wilderness area, Teewinot fills almost precisely the same literary niche as Switchbacks and Desert Solitaire. It is intended to convey the majesty of the Teton range, the thrill of climbing, the wildness of the backcountry, and the humorous antics of tourists. It is lighter on polemic than the other two. Recommended to folks who enjoy this type of book.
