Vox is a love story for the information age -- a transcript of a phone-sex call between strangers on opposite sides of the country. They trade fantasies and secrets, have an intelligent and funny conversation, and then, of course, have sex over the phone. As usual, Baker's writing provokes little shocks of recognition as he describes familiar thoughts, or thought processes. This is a quick read, and highly recommended.
