What Men Don't Want Women to Know

[cover]

by Mike Smith, Bill Doe

isbn: 0312186797
subject: Nonfiction
finished: 9/19/1998

Although it's not very well written and uses too many fonts, this book contains some good insights into male behavior. Its main message, however, is that for women, everything they fear about men is true, and so are other things worse than they could ever imagine. This is unfortunate, because (contrary to the authors' stated goals of forewarning and forearming women) it seems designed simply to create mistrust, resentment, and controversy. To say that a different way, this book attempts to place men in an indefensible position from which both argument and silence are further indications of guilt. Little good can come of that, and it's too bad that the authors had to resort to such hyperbole to make their point.
