The Wizard of Oz

[cover]

by L. Frank Baum

isbn: 0140366938
subject: Fiction and Literature, Children's Books
finished: Early Fall 1997

I picked this up for a break since I have a hefty technical reading load in school this semester. I understood a few things that I missed when I last read it, when I was about 1/5 of my current age, but there were no revelations like the ones you are likely to get from an adult rereading of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. Also, it's a little bloodier than I remembered. For example, the Tin Man was created by having his limbs chopped off one by one with a cursed axe, and replaced with metal. I think they left that out of the movie. Anyway, this is great fantasy for children and adults, and is highly recommended.
