This was a good book to read after Ishmael; they are similar in that they call the basic values of our society into question. I think ZaaAoMM was built up too much for me; I've had several friends who ranked it among the most influential books they'd read. I found it to be gripping in parts, but somewhat boring overall. Maybe I should have read it while I was more impressionable. Also, I found the basic thesis about Quality to be flawed -- I do not agree that it's absolute. |
